Greetings, Frank phpbb. Many config files have defaults, with explanations. Surely it would be helpful if a sample config. What about tuning?

Is there anything that can be tuned in config. What about security? Would it not be sensible to inform new board operators that changing the table names could be a good idea for purposes of obscurity. Are there any other settings specifically for security and performance? I see the point about letting the install configure it but surely there is more to this?

If something is configured automatically with user input other than locations, dbms type and login credentials then what if there are unknowns that should be known because they would be beneficial to the board operators? So, is there any guide to config. Is there something that explains what each variable does, and what should be added. Again I appreciate that the install should do this but it could be the case that some boards are not optimally configured because the install did not configure optimal, or because the board user made a mistake somewhere.
