Can you marriage in skyrim

Your spouse does not become hostile if you are caught stealing from them, but won't let you steal anymore. The gold they carry is separate from the merchant gold they get from bartering you can't steal that. The merchandise that your spouse will sell you depends upon whether or not your spouse was originally a merchant and, if so, what type of merchandise they originally sold.

In each case, the merchandise is typical of a generic merchant of that type. All standard merchandise is located in a Merchant Chest ; it cannot be pickpocketed or stolen. The merchant chest is restocked every two days.

Also, if you buy any items from your spouse, the gold is placed in the merchant chest, not in their personal inventory, meaning you cannot take it back from your spouse, even a follower spouse. These are the goods sold if your spouse was originally an innkeeper. Marriage allows you to unlock one achievement :. Jump to: navigation , search. Whiterun Jorrvaskr. Getting married in Skyrim is pretty easy, especially for the Dragonborn. You can marry more than 60 different NPCs across the land, each with a prerequisite that must be met.

Once married, you and your partner will go into business together, opening up a small trade shop from wherever you call home. All you have to do is ask for your share of gold every 24 in-game hours. You can even sell extra junk to them. Then, approach the NPC you wish to marry. You must complete their prerequisite quest before the dialogue option shows up.

Propose to them and conduct the wedding ceremony. Choose one of your many estates to start your family and finally enjoy the perks of married life. So, how does the Dragonborn do all that? The Amulet of Mara is easy to come by, and there are several sprinkled throughout the game. To kill two mudcrabs with one stone, head to Riften and speak with Maramal, a Redguard priest and member of the Cult of Mara.

Then, ask him about marriage. Speaking with Maramal is a crucial step in the marriage process, so getting an Amulet from him is the easiest way to do it. Think of the Amulet like an engagement ring, only much less expensive. Alternatively, players can find an Amulet of Mara in random chests and play areas. Talk to them and decide where you shall live - whether in one of your houses, or theres - from where you can start receiving benefits. Want more help with Skyrim?
