Where to find dark pokemon in emerald

So, I say no Cacturns or Shiftrees, unless you have a different fighting type. A Swampert is mainly water type, allowing him to learn wate type moves, like surf and junk.

A Sharpedo or Crawdawnt are also mainly water types after dark, so that would basically be having two water types on your team, which I find a waste.

The same goes for the Breloom and Cacturns thingie. If you had a Mightyena or Absol, you would have a new main type on your team, and I find that a better reason to have them on your team.

And at Shad: He was correct to have Altaria. This post has been edited by Quomimi : Feb 27 , PM. Post 5. Post 6. Rather to edit, I say Mightyena. Poochyena is easy to get from the start, and grows stronger easily. Absol on the other hand you can't get until Fortree City. Shiny Caterpie. Apr 2 , PM. Post 7. Dorito Ninja View Member Profile. Boards Pokemon Emerald Version Great dark pokemon.

User Info: geebeedrill. User Info: BtFactoryVictim. I know that Shiftry isn't good, neither is Glalie - but they ARE dark, and they're catchable and easy to get ready for battles training,movesets.. I also know Shadow Ball won't do much damage as Houndoom's Attack stat is bad - but with some EVs in attack and without attack hindering nature it's an option, isn't it?

At least it's a novelty.. Psychics have bad defense overall, and as for fighting, you'll have the chance of lowering Sp. Def so you could make the most of a Fire Blast, for example.. I'm not calling this "the best moveset" - I'm just suggesting it as an available option.. I was just suggesting dark pokemon and some movesets I've seen. Call me noob if you will - I'm not calling myself the absolute ultimate pokemon trainer - I'm just a guy who likes the game - otherwise I won't be playing for like years now - ever since Generation 1 hit our market Since there aren't any people around me who play Pokemon,I'm stuck on battling in-game - I probably haven't got any "real" battling skills, strategies and such..

You cannot seed grass pokemon - when you encounter one,you just switch. How bad could this be,if you only play in-game?

One who plays ingame, or even the BF, like yourself, doesn't make use of novelty. The AI does not switch nor surprise itself. Houndoom also has bad attack. The damage between both moves is pretty balanced then. Defense lowering is too situational. It's really not an option. You only have four slots and you can occupy them with much better moves. Then take the time to learn. But that doesn't detract that what that Shiftry does, several other pokemon do it much better.

Leech Seed does the job for Leftovers No, it doesn't. Leftovers would provide even more healing. And it's still better than Chesto. Combos for the sake of using them? And those other two items aren't as reliable as lefties. Protect is more reliable The user swings its body around violently to inflict damage on everything in its vicinity. The user crunches up the target with sharp fangs. This may also lower the target's Defense stat.

Dark Pulse. The user releases a horrible aura imbued with dark thoughts. Dark Void. Darkest Lariat. The user swings both arms and hits the target. The target's stat changes don't affect this attack's damage. This move prevents the target from using its held item for five turns.

Its Trainer is also prevented from using items on it. Fake Tears. The user feigns crying to fluster the target, harshly lowering its Sp. Def stat. False Surrender. The user pretends to bow its head, but then it stabs the target with its disheveled hair. This attack never misses. Feint Attack. The user approaches the target disarmingly, then throws a sucker punch.

Fiery Wrath. The user transforms its wrath into a fire-like aura to attack. Flattery is used to confuse the target. However, this also raises the target's Sp.

Atk stat. The user flings its held item at the target to attack. This move's power and effects depend on the item. Foul Play. The user turns the target's power against it. The higher the target's Attack stat, the greater the move's power. G-Max One Blow. A Dark-type attack that Gigantamax Urshifu use. This single-strike move can ignore Max Guard.

G-Max Snooze. A Dark-type attack that Gigantamax Grimmsnarl use. The user lets loose a huge yawn that lulls the targets into falling asleep on the next turn. Hone Claws. The user sharpens its claws to boost its Attack stat and accuracy.

Hyperspace Fury. Using its many arms, the user unleashes a barrage of attacks that ignore the effects of moves like Protect and Detect. But the user's Defense stat falls. Jaw Lock. This move prevents the user and the target from switching out until either of them faints. Knock Off. The user slaps down the target's held item, and that item can't be used in that battle.

The move does more damage if the target has a held item. Lash Out. The user lashes out to vent its frustration toward the target. If its stats were lowered during the turn, the power of this move is doubled. Malicious Moonsault. The user, Incineroar, strengthens its body using its Z-Power and crashes into the target with full force. Max Darkness.

This lowers the target's Sp. The user faints when using this move. In return, this harshly lowers the target's Attack and Sp.
